Telangana TET Likely to be Conducted in Online Mode
Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TS-TET) 2019 will be conducted in online mode. However, an official notification regarding the same is yet to be issued.
Directorate of School Education (DSE), Telangana will conduct the Telangana TET 2019 in online mode doing away with pen and paper mode. However, DSE is yet to release an official notification regarding the same. The proposal to conduct the Telangana TET in an online mode was proposed by the SCERT- State Council of Educational Research and Training and the same was sent to the State Government for the approval
Telangana TET is conducted for the aspirants who wish to become teachers for Classes I – VIII in government schools across the state. B.Ed graduates, Diploma holders in Elementary Education and Language Pandits are eligible to appear for TET. This year, the state government will also give eligibility to those candidates who are pursuing final-year of B.Ed, D.Ed and Language Pandit courses. The candidates who qualify Telangana TET will be considered eligible for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).
Since Telangana state government is conducting all the entrance exams in online mode, there are chances that TET will be conducted in online mode as well. The official TET notification will be issued on the official website of DSE Telangana soon.
The aspirants must note that 20% weightage will be given to TET marks in TRT. Meanwhile, the candidates can start preparing for TET. The syllabus for the test will be based on Class VI to Class X syllabus for Paper – II. The syllabus for Paper – I will be issued along with the official notification.
Telangana TET certificate will be valid for seven years from the date of the examination.
