The Country Lacks in Quality Education-Kushwaha

Upendra Kushwaha, the Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development, expressed concern over the deteriorating qualities of higher education in the country and now it's time to introspect why qualified youths have to approach powerful people for employment.

The minister was talking while inaugurating the new spacious and state-of-the-art building of All India Council for Technical Education. He said that quality of education was the biggest challenge. People even with engineering degrees approach them seeking employment. As these people with engineering degrees are even working on salaries of Rs Rs 10,000 or Rs 12,000 per month. It is really a matter of concern why we have created such engineers.

The minister also said that there are several engineering institutes that have been shut down because of lack of engineering students. To cater to the situation, there should be provisions wherein companies come to campuses to hire students. Now the quality of education is the biggest challenge facing us, the minister said to the official of AICTE.

The minister assured to support his ministry to improve the situation. He also mentioned various programs -Digital India, Skill India and Make in India, Modi Government have undertaken for the benefit of young people. The minister also urged to the functionaries of AICTE to work keeping in mind the concerns of the people of villages and the taxpayers.
