Scientists and academics from the different parts of India and abroad presented their papers at the International Conference with the topic ‘Human Implication of Biotechnology’, that concluded on 14th February, 2016 at the Central University of South Bihar.
S Raisuddin from Jamia Millia Islamia talked about ‘Ethical and Environmental Concerns of Biotechnology' while a paper on “Nitric Oxide Signalling in Plants” was presented by A N Mishra from Central University of Jharkhand. M.A. Syed from Drexel University College of Medicine - USA, S.Y. Hussain from SMS Medical College - Jaipur, N.R. Biswas from Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences - Patna, Sadhna Sharma from AIIMS – Patna and Ashok Kumar from AIIMS - Bhopal also presented their papers.
Addressing the three-day conference on Human Implication of Biotechnology’, at CUSB, S.S. Chauhan from The University of Tennessee - Health Science Centre, United States of America, stated that pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause deaths related to cancer in the US due to poor response to available therapeutics and absence of early diagnosis.

United Kingdom based scientist Shozeb Haider cautioned people from using antibiotics excessively and said ‘it results in physical deformities in bodies of human beings’. Haider also stated that India is one of the major users of antibiotics and the side-effects due to the Increasing 'multi-drug resistance' poses great challenges to the scientists.
