Third Edition of IIM-B & TBS Aviation Course to Start from 8 May 2017
The third edition of Management Programme on Aviation to be offered by IIMB in collaboration with TBS France is set to commence from 8 May 2017.
The third edition of the Management Programme on Aviation to be offered by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore or IIMB in collaboration with France-based Toulouse Business School (TBS) is set to commence from 8 May 2017 at the IIMB campus.

It is a unique two-year duration programme that combines TBS’s aerospace competencies and IIMB’s academic expertise in management. This unique combination of technical and managerial expertise will also help in understanding the Indian and European markets.
The programme received a good response from a large number of applicants from various sections of the aviation industry. For selection into the programme, a selection committee carefully examines all the applicants' profiles and sees how well it is suited for the objectives of the programmes. The selection committee is looking for candidates belonging to the diverse backgrounds and varied experiences.
At the end of the first year, IIMB will offer a GMAE Certificate (General Management Programme for Aerospace and Aviation Executives) while the Toulouse Business School (TBS) will offer an MBA at the end of the second year. A total of 45 participants will be selected for the course and they will be taught both at TBS and IIMB. The batch 1 of this specialised course are currently pursuing their term at TBS, France and will graduate in April 2017.

All the participants in the programme for the previous editions have average work experience of more than 15 years. They are hailing from different well-known national and international companies or institutions, such as -

- Honeywell Technology Solutions
- Airbus Group
- SpiceJet
- UTC Aerospace Systems
The GMAE participants will also have to attend international seminars and conferences. They will have to take study trips to Seattle (USA) and Toulouse (France) to meet experts from the field of aviation, aeronautics and embedded systems.
The convocation ceremony for the programme will be held at the TBS France campus.
