PM to Inaugurate Indian Science Congress on January 3, 2017
The major highlight of the meet will be that a galaxy of nine Nobel laureates from countries like Israel, France, Japan, USA and Bangladesh will be attending the conference.
The 104th Indian Science Congress (ISC) will be inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 3, 2017, at Tirupati. ISC will have many pet programmes of PM in its plenary sessions in tune with his vision and cherished wish. The theme of 104th ISC is 'Science and Technology for National Development'.

Dr. Narayana Roa, President of Indian Science Congress Association, said that the science meet would be held from January 3 to 7, 2017 at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. The major highlight of the meet will be that a galaxy of nine Nobel laureates from countries like Israel, France, Japan, USA and Bangladesh will be attending the conference.
He further added that a total number of 200 scientists from different foreign nations and 10,000 research scholars and faculty members representing various Indian Universities, IITs and IISERs would take part in ISC meet.

Narayana Rao also revealed that Nobel Laureates’ would deliver lectures, hold interactions and plenary sessions on various subjects like Forestry Sciences, Animal, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Information and Communication Technology and much more.
Another highlight of ISC meet is mega science exhibition where prominent developments and major contributions made by Indian science and technological community to the country will be showcased by leading scientific organisations and institutions including government and private agencies.
