Total Number of Candidates Registered for CTET December 2022
The CBSE is conducting the CTET 2022 exam on 28th December 2022. The total number of candidates registered for the exam along with the shift timings are mentioned below.
Participants Registered for CTET 2022: With a record number of participants this year, CTET December 2022 exam is being conducted today 28th December 2022 in two shifts. The national-level teaching exam is being held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 74 cities at 243 CTET exam centres. As per the latest reports, a total of 32.45 lakh applicants have registered for Central TET Exam 2022 this year for the December session. This number has increased by almost half from the previous year. The candidates who applied for the CTET exam in 2021 were approximately 23 lakhs (papers 1 and 2 combined).

CTET 2022 Number of Participants
A total of 32.45 lakh candidates are expected to appear for CTET December Exam 2022 combined for all shifts. The huge amount of participation in the Central Teachers Eligibility Test this year has made the exam authorities increase the number of CTET 2022 exam centres from the previously decided cities. CBSE is conducting the CTET December 2022 in 243 test centres in 74 cities across the country. The duration of each shift is kept to be 2 hours and 30 minutes as per the CTET Exam Pattern 2022. The CTET 2022 Paper 1 is being conducted for Primary Teachers Level (Classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 for Upper Primary Level (Classes 6 to 8) respectively.

As per the CTET Exam Schedule released by CBSE on the official website, the CTET 2022 exam will be conducted in two shifts i.e. Morning and Afternoon. CTET Exam 2022 date will begin on 28th December 2022. Check the shift-wise schedule for the CTET exam below -
