Total Number of Candidates Registered for JEE Main January 2023
In 2023 a toatl of 8.2 Lakh canidte regsitere for the JEE Main January Exam 2023. Among them 70% of the registered candidate are male and 30% of females candidate enrolled for the exam. Check the state-wise registration statistics
JEE Main January 2023 Registered candidate: NTA (National Testing Agency) will be conducting the Joint entrance examination from 24th January 2023. In JEE Main 2023, a total of eight lakh sixty thousand (8.6 Lakh) candidates have registered for the examination. Earlier in the month of July 2023 8.66 Lakh candidates registered for the exam, down by 6000 candidates in the January 2023 session. The JEE main 2023 examination will be held in two shifts between 24th January 2023 to 1st February 2023. Authorities have already issued the city slip for the exam along with the admit card.

In the JEE main 2023 male candidates are again dominating the exam as nearly 6 Lakhs candidates registered for the exam. Nearly 70% of the aspirants appearing for the exam are male candidates. The total number of girls appearing for the exam came as a surprise. Only 30% of girls will be appearing for the exam. However, there is a marginal increase in the total number of girls aspirants registered for the exam compared to 2022.
The total percentage of generated category candidates appearing for the exam also dropped from 41.8% to 38.3% in the JEE Main January exam 2023. Whereas the OBC category candidates registered for the exam were up by 37.1% from 35.7% last year. The general EWS category also witnessed a growth of 11.6% compared to 9% in the previous year.
This year candidate from Maharashtra has the highest number of registration with 1,03.039 followed by Uttar Pradesh (99,714), and Andhra Pradesh (91,799). Telangana and Rajasthan also witnessed the highest number of registration 86,840 and 59,641 respectively.
