Triangular Contest in DU for the First Time

<p>In the history of Delhi University elections, this is the first time when apart from ABVP and NSUI, a third party emerging from a ruling party has come forward to be a part of this 2015 election.

Chaatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti, AAP&rsquo;s student wing will be the third party to make the elections a triangular contest.

The new student outfit is posing a stiff challenge to ABVP, which registered a historic victory in the last DUSU election winning all four important posts, and NSUI, which has always maintained a lead in university polls.

While commenting on the issue, Shriniwas, ABVP national joint secretary said to the media, &ldquo;this is not worrying, every time new student groups figure on the contenders list but failed to mark victory. And when the state government has failed so miserably to fulfill its promises who will go for its youth party.&rdquo;

Adding further he said, a delegation of DUSU members had met chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in May "but the CM didn't take out time to address any of our concerns". They got the support of the youth as they promised free Wi-Fi. But women still feel unsafe in the city as the government has failed to install CCTVs&rdquo;.

NSUI also has a same stance. They are too keen in expose AAP. &ldquo;Students are aware that the party has failed to fulfill its promises and spent most of its money in their advertisement. It will impact students as they remain unsuccessful in their own agendas,&rdquo; said Roji M John, national president of NSUI to media.

Like state elections, AAP wing is sure that they will win and make the election historical. Dilip Pandey, Delhi in charge of AAP told media, &ldquo;We believe in clean politics. We want to provide students an honest and corruption-free option. Our focus will be on telling students what we can do for them. BJP indulged in negative publicity during the assembly polls. We all know what happened to them&rdquo;.
