TS-EAMCET 2017 Notification Delayed
The government did not give any clarity on admission to AYUSH courses and the notification for TS-EAMCET 2017 has been stalled.
The official notification for Telangana EAMCET (TS-EAMCET) 2017 was expected to be released on February 27, 2017. As per the schedule announced by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, the online application process for TS-EAMCET 2017 is to begin on March 3, 2017. However, due to delay in the announcement of the notification, the schedule of TS-EAMCET 2017 might undergo slight changes.

There has been no official announcement from Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) on February 27, 2017, regarding the release of the notification. According to sources, the state government did not assign the responsibility of online application process, assigning hall ticket numbers and issue of hall tickets to a service provider.

On the other hand, the government did not call for tenders to assign the responsibility to a service provider. Therefore, the announcement of official notification for TS-EAMCET 2017 became uncertain. One of the officials of TSCHE revealed that the notification is expected to be released on March 3, 2017.
An issue of concern for the officials of TSCHE is that the government did not give any clarity on admission to AYUSH courses. The state government wrote to the central government mentioning that the state is willing to hold admissions for AYUSH courses through NEET. So far, there has not been any official information from the central government and the notification for TS-EAMCET 2017 has been stalled.
This year, 15,000 engineering seats might be scrapped as 19 engineering colleges across the state decided to shut down. On the other hand, 85 engineering colleges decided to cancel admissions for various branches of engineering.
