TS-EAMCET 2017: Rise in Demand for Engineering Seats this Year
- A total number of 63,800 candidates took part in certificate verification process, and the number of seats available under Convenor Quota is 62,746.
- DTE of Telangana will release the seat allotment status of the candidates on June 28, 2017.
Engineering aspirants in Telangana might witness a competition this year, as the demand for engineering seats has increased this year. This year, a total number of 98,596 candidates qualified in TS-EAMCET 2017 examination. Out of them, 63,800 candidates took part in certificate verification process, and the number of seats available under Convenor Quota is 62,746. There has been a slight rise in the demand for engineering seats this year. Usually, the students who take part in the certificate verification process exercise the web options and join the colleges. On the other hand, a few students look for alternative courses if they do not get a seat in the college as per their wish.

The candidates who appeared for certificate verification process can exercise the web options until June 23, 2017. As per the official announcement of SCHE, around 53,870 candidates exercised web options by June 21, 2017. More candidates are expected to fill the web options by Friday. Earlier, SCHE advised the candidates to fill as many institutes and branches in engineering. Allotment to various engineering colleges will be made based on the rank secured by the candidate and availability of seats in various technical institutes across the state.

DTE of Telangana will release the seat allotment status of the candidates on June 28, 2017. The candidates must report to allotted colleges on or before July 3, 2017. DTE will release the list of vacant seats due to non-reporting of the candidates after July 3, 2017. These seats will be filled in the second phase counselling process.
