TS EDCET 2019 Counselling Dates

Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has released the TS EDCET counselling dates 2019. The TS EDCET certificate verification will start on 13th August 2019. The registration for the general category candidates is Rs.800 whereas for SC/ST candidates it is Rs.500.

In 2018, out of 32,330 candidates appeared for TS EDCET 2018, 30,606 students cleared the exam. In the first phase counselling process, 20,542 candidates have exercised web options, and TSCHE has allotted seats to 10,599 candidates. All the B.Ed colleges in Telangana offer 12,788 seats under convenor or state quota. The numbers clearly indicate that B.Ed in Telangana is the most sought-after course among students.

TSCHE will hold the second and final round of counselling for remaining 2,189 B.Ed seats under convenor quota in the third week of August. At least, 1,500 to 2,000 seats are expected to be filled in the second round leaving very few seats vacant for the academic session 2018-19.

Private B.Ed colleges across the state have their share of seats under management quota. The colleges will initiate the admission process for management quota B.Ed seats in the last week of July. Students who wish to seek admission under management quota can directly visit the college, submit the certificates, pay the course fee and confirm admission.

On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh is witnessing poor demand for B.Ed course. Only 2,800 seats have been filled in the first round counselling.
