UCEED 2021 Exam and Question Paper Analysis (Out), Answer Key (Out)

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, popularly known as UCEED was scheduled to be held on January 17, 2021. The final answer key for UCEED 2021 was released on January 31, 2021. The UCEED exam timing was from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Part A of UCEED 2021 has been reported as slightly tricky while Part B has been recorded as easy to moderate. UCEED is conducted by IIT Bombay every year for admission to a 4-year-long B.Des programme offered by top design institutes of the nation. UCEED 2021 Exam Analysis 

The undergraduate design exam wrapped up at 12 PM. UCEED 2021 Question Paper had two parts where Part A was of 2 Hours 30 Minutes and comprised NATs, MSQs and MCQs. Part B of UCEED was of 30 minutes where the drawing skills of the applicant is judged. Provided below is the detailed exam analysis of UCEED 2021.

Detailed UCEED 2021 Exam Analysis for Part A

Part A had a total of three sections which further had NAT, MSQ and MCQ questions. This part was computer-based and applicants had to complete it in 150 minutes. As per the expert's analysis, Numerical Answer Type questions were a bit difficult when compared to the Multiple Select and Multiple Choice Questions.

In the UCEED 2021, Part A possessed questions from the topics such as observation & design sensitivity, environmental & social awareness, visualization & spatial ability, analytical & logical reasoning, language & creativity and design thinking & problem-solving. According to the feedback of students, questions from the Visualization, Design Thinking, Spatial Ability, Problem-solving, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning topics were a little difficult than that of the topics of Environmental and Social Awareness, Observation and Design Sensitivity and Language and Creativity.

Another observation that was made about UCEED 2021 was that applicants adopted a careful approach while solving the Multiple Select and Multiple Choice Questions as they had negative marking. NATs did not have negative marking, however, the questions were a tad bit difficult compared to MCQs and MSQs. NAT has been reported as the toughest section, followed by MSQ. The MCQs were reportedly the easiest of all.

Detailed UCEED 2021 Exam Analysis for Part B

Part B of UCEED 2021 was designed to analyse the innovative approach and drawing skills of an individual. The question of Part B was displayed on the computer screen and candidates had to write down the answer on the answer book provided by the invigilator.
