UGC NET 2017 Eligibility Criteria Revised

UGC NET 2017: Latest Amendments: -
- All the candidates belonging to reserved category will be declared qualified with 6% result. Earlier, the criterion was to declare qualified for UGC NET exam with 15% result for reserved category.
- The age relaxation policies for the candidates appearing for UGC NET 2017 examination remain unchanged.
- From 2018, UGC NET examination will take place once a year. There is no UGC NET 2017 examination in July 2017 this time as well and the examination will take place in November 2017.
Earlier, the candidates belonging to reserved categories also sought lower minimum marks for cut-off. The previous eligibility criteria for reserved categories led to outnumber of qualified reserved category candidates to the general ones. Now, the University Grants Commission or UGC is planning to bring amendments in this criterion.

According to sources, the official schedule for UGC NET November 2017 examination will be out by July 24, 2017. The online application process for the same is expected to begin from August 1, 2017. However, there is no clarity whether UGC-NET will be conducted twice or once in a year. The aspirants need to wait for few more days for the official information from UGC.
