Universities in Haryana to Hold Common Entrance Test (CET)
- A Common Admission Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted by a number of Haryana-based universities.
- These universities include Maharshi Dayanand University, Kurukshetra University, Chaudhary Bansi Lal University etc.
All the varsities in Haryana which come under the Department of Higher Education will hold a Common Admission Entrance Test to grant admissions to aspirants in the respective universities.
The following universities will come under the Common Admission Entrance Test for admissions to various courses:
- Chaudhary Bansi Lal University
- Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University
- Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya
- Chaudhary Devi Lal University
- Maharshi Dayanand University
- Kurukshetra University

According to sources, the Maharishi Dayanand University announced that it would conduct Common Admission Entrance Test for the following courses:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Zoology
- Environmental Sciences
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
- Botany
- Biochemistry
- Life Sciences
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
Kurukshetra University also announced the Common Admission Entrance Test for the following courses:
- Psychology
- Physical Education
- Geography
- History
- Hindi
- English
- Public Administration
- Political Science
- Law
- Journalism
- Socia Work
- Management
- Economics
- Commerce

The selection will be based on the merit of the candidates in the entrance examination. The government has appointed a high-level committee to monitor the process of admission. It is mandatory for the students to take the entrance examination to get admission into any of the universities mentioned above. The admissions for other courses will be carried out at by universities at their level.
Holding Common Admission Entrance Examination for all the universities across the state is a beneficial step for the students as they will not have to apply at each university separately.
