University of Hyderabad Launches M.Tech Information Security Course
- University of Hyderabad will start offering M.Tech in Information Security course from the academic session 2018-19.
- GATE score is mandatory for the admission to UoH M.Tech in Information Security course.
School of Computer and Information Sciences – University of Hyderabad (UoH) has launched a new M.Tech course in Information Security. The motive behind the launch of new M.Tech course is to cater to opportunities in the Information & Security industry. The new course will also have Cyber Security as the specialized stream. The admission process for the new M.Tech course at UoH will begin soon.
The M.Tech course in Information Security offered by UoH has AICTE approval. The varsity will enroll 18 students for the academic session 2018-19. More details such as eligibility and fee structure are mentioned below.

UoH M.Tech in Information Security Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates with a valid GATE score (2016/ 2017/ 2018) are eligible to register for M.Tech Information Security course offered by UoH.
- Apart from the GATE score, the candidates must have graduated B.Tech (CSE/ IT/ EEE/ ECE)/ MCA (Mathematics in 10+2), M.Sc (Electronics/ IT/ Computer Science)/ M.Sc (Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Mathematics) course.
- The candidates must have at least 55% of marks in any of the courses mentioned above.
UoH M.Tech in Information Security Fee Structure:
- For regular students, the course fee is Rs. 18,770 per semester.
- For sponsored candidates, the course fee is Rs. 40,000 per semester.

The application process for M.Tech Information Security course offered by UoH will commence on June 07, 2018. Interested and eligible candidates can submit the online application form through the official website of UoH on or before June 30, 2018. The shortlisted candidates will receive AICTE-GATE fellowship.
