The University of Hyderabad has scrapped the exams for final-year UG and PG students for the academic session 2019-20. Due to the current lockdown and Coronavirus outbreak in India, the varsity has decided to choose an alternative grading system instead of conducting exams for final-year students. However, the university clarified that students who are not satisfied with the grades awarded can appear for the exams post lockdown. The varsity has given the flexibility to students in this regard, and the same has been received well by the student community.
Hyderabad University will announce the results for final-year UG and PG courses on June 16, 2020. Students who are not satisfied or have objections over the result can attend the exams that will be conducted from July 04, 2020. The marks or grades scored by students in these exams will be treated final in such cases.
For the results that will be declared on June 16, 2020, the past academic performance of final-year students (in previous semesters) are expected to be considered to decide the grades.
Semester exams for first-year students will take place from August 03 to 11, 2020. The classes for all students will begin on August 12.
The entrance exam for first-year admissions is expected to be conducted in the first week of August. The official date with regard to the same shall be confirmed post lockdown.
