University of Kashmir & University of Sydney Sign an MoU for Scientific Knowledge
The University of Kashmir and the University of Sydney have signed an MoU for collaborative research, training, teaching and enhancing higher education learning.
To enhance higher education learning between two universities CCAS (Centre of Central Asian Studies), the University of Kashmir and SOPHE (School of Philosophical and Historical Enquiry), University of Sydney have signed an MoU to initiate a new joint collaborative research project on Prehistoric Mining and Metallurgy in Kashmir. Professor Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir and Professor Alison V.G. Betts, Chair of the Department of Archeology representing the University of Sydney, signed the MoU.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Director of CCAS KU, Prof Tareak A and Assistant Professor and Principal Research Investigator of CCAS KU, Dr Mumtaz A. Yatoo. The MoU signed between the University of Kashmir and the University of Sydney aims to look at the understanding of scientific knowledge and prehistoric aspects of Kashmir.
Under the joint collaborations, both institutes will be involved in cooperative studies, training, teaching, and other activities for enhancing the relationship of both the institutes and strengthening their connection.

The University of Kashmir was founded in 1948 and is located in Hazratbal, Srinagar. Over many years, the University has shaped its programs and operations towards excellence in education. While the University of Sydney has more than 160 years of history in the sphere of education, a joint collaboration between two universities is likely to result in developments in higher education.
