UoH Student Selected for Future Research Talent Award 2020
Ananya Dash, a student of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) selected for Future Research Talent Award 2020 by the Australian National University, Canberra. She is currently pursuing an integrated M. Sc course from UoH.
University of Hyderabad (UoH) student Ananya Dash selected for Future Research Talent Award 2020 by the Australian National University, Canberra. Ananya is a Systems Biology student in the Integrated Master’s program, currently studying in the fourth year at UoH.
According to QS World University Rankings 2020. Australian National University (ANU) Canberra is Number 1 university in Australia and the World University rank of ANU is 29th.
ANU offers Future Research Talent awards since 2018 to students of India. It is jointly ventured by ANU College of Science, NU College of Engineering and Computer Science and ANU College of Health and Medicine.

Future Research Talent awards (FRT) are prestigious as well as a highly competitive award offered to the best international students from the partner institutes in India. The Department of Systems and Computational Biology and the Office of International Affairs UoH has nominated Ananya for this award.
FRT award will offer Ananya to complete an undergraduate research training from the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra at the John Curtin School of Medical Research department under Prof. Thomas Preiss from May-July, 2020.
The lab works of Preiss mainly focuses on RNA Biology through which she will get an opportunity to understand the fundamental aspects of eukaryotic translation. She will also be offered training in physical, biological and mathematical sciences through which she can make a significant contribution in the lab works.
