UP Board Exam Results 2017 to Be Declared by Mid-May
The board examinations in Uttar Pradesh were delayed due to assembly polls this year. The students expected that the results might be delayed as the examinations commenced late. As expected the declaration of results has been delayed by one month.
Here is good news for Class 10 & Class 12 students of Uttar Pradesh who have been eagerly waiting for results. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad announced that the results are likely to be announced on May 15, 2017. This year, around 60 lakh students appeared for Class 10 & Class 12 board examinations.
The board examinations in Uttar Pradesh were delayed due to assembly polls this year. The students expected that the results might be delayed as the examinations commenced late. As expected the declaration of results has been delayed by one month. Usually, the UP Board completes the evaluation process by the first week of April and releases the results by mid-April.

Due to the rescheduling of examinations, the evaluation process was delayed thereby pushing the result announcement.
This year, Uttar Pradesh has become popular in terms of malpractices during the board examinations. Around 1,500 students were debarred from taking examinations in 111 examination centres across the state. An FIR has been lodged against 178 invigilators who encouraged malpractices during the examinations. The UP Board also blacklisted 57 examination centres where the instances of malpractices are high.

This year, the new academic year has not commenced yet as the Class 12 examinations are still not completed. Usually, the new academic year starts on April 1 every year. Now, the commencement of academic year has been delayed by almost a month.
