The 4th International Conference MAGIC - Methods, Aesthetics and Genre in Communication, an initiative to support Skill India, is to be held by Centre for Professional Communication (Bidholi) under the aegis of College of Engineering Studies, UPES, Dehradun from 10th- 11th November 2016.
This conference is an initiative to support skill India.The plenary speakers would be Dr. S Chakrabarti (Delhi University) D.Phil, Oxford University, Dr. Sisis Basu ( Banaras Hindu University),Professor Rashmi Gaur (ET Roorkee) D.Phil Allahabad University.
The focus areas of the conference are:
- Towards an inclusive model of skill development through English communication
- Communication and online, Hybrid and blended education
- Communication and language
- Communication and literature
Students would be representing their research papers here and the selected papers would be published in the international journal 'higher learning research communication' and other papers will be published online with ISBN.
The convenor of the event is Dr.Rati Oberoi.This is an initiative for students to learn and practise.English is the language needed everywhere it has become like the 2nd mother tongue mandatory in every way and every place thus it is included with the skill development keeping English as the mode of communication.
UPES is making this effort to refine the students and participation from almost all students is expected.
