UPSC Aspirants Get IRS Officer's Guidance on Whatsapp
Civil services aspirants especially the ones from a rural background are getting guidance because of a Whatsapp group created by an IRS officer. The group will help students with the study material.
Many civil services aspirants especially the ones belonging to rural background face a lot of difficulty in cracking the exam as they do not get proper guidance.
To make things easier for them, an IRS office of the 2016 batch, Sadu Narasimha Reddy has stated a Whatsapp group known as ‘Competitive WGL’ for candidates preparing for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other competitive exams from Warangal district. Reddy is now working as the Additional Commissioner, Central GST, Vishakhapatnam.

Reddy mentioned that aspirants of various competitive examinations mainly Civils can be a part of this Whatsapp group for guidance and study material from toppers. He also said that a lot of people who cracked the Civil Services have joined this group to guide the students. The group also has mock interviews, lecture sessions, workshops, and even provide guidance for the written examination.
There are other groups of similar nature in Khammam and Kakinada areas of East Godavari in Andhra which have also received a good response from the aspirants. Engineering and medical students are also some of the aspirants preparing for UPSC.
The Whatsapp group was created in January this year, and since that time, almost 55 aspirants including the ones who cracked the exam joined the group for the Warangal district. The group also conducted mock interviews for 15 aspirants to prepare them for the Civils interview in Hyderabad. Reddy had also created the ‘Indian Telugu Civil Servants Association’. It is a group of Civil Servants from Andhra and Telangana who are working in different areas of India and abroad. This idea came up on November 9, 2006, and it was suggested by the Telugu Civil Servants of 80th Foundation Course at LABASNAA, Mussoorie. They make use of the web-based Google group known as ‘ITCSA’ as the main platform for engaging with members.

ITCSA is an informal group of Civil Servants from Andhra and Telangana working in India and abroad. The idea was conceived on Nov 9, 2006, by Telugu Civil Servants of 80th Foundation Course at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
