UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination 2016 Results Announced
The Mains Examination 2016 results have been delayed than the expected date due to various objections raised by the candidates regarding an essay.
The results of civil services Main Examination for the year 2016 conducted by Union Public Service Commission have been released. The results of the qualified candidates have been published on UPSC’s official website. Civil services Mains Examination 2016 was held from December 3 to December 9, 2016.
The candidates who have qualified in the Mains Examination 2016 have to now appear for a personality test. The personality test is expected to take place in March 2017. The exact date will be intimated to the candidates after confirmation.

The Mains Examination 2016 results were delayed due to various objections raised by the candidates regarding an essay. Earlier, the candidates claimed that the topic for the essay given in Hindi was a little different from the topic given in English. Later, UPSC clarified that it will accept various explanations given by the candidates for the essay.

- UPSC’s official website facilitates the candidates to check results.
- Initially, all the candidates who have taken UPSC Mains Exam 2016 have to visit the official website of UPSC.
- Towards the right-hand side of the homepage, find ‘What’s New’ section.
- Under ‘What’s New’ section, click on ‘Civil Service 2016 Results’.
- A new page opens where the candidates need to click on ‘Click Here’ link.
- The names of the qualified and successful candidates will be displayed in a PDF format.
- The candidates have to check their roll numbers and names and further take a printout.
