The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the process of IAS 2022 application form withdrawal today on 1st  March 2022 on its official website - upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have submitted the UPSC IAS application form 2022 but now don’t want to appear in the upcoming exam can easily withdraw their application in online mode as notified by the commission. Just keep in mind that the withdrawal can be done till March 7, 2022 (6 pm) after which those who couldn’t do it will have to sit for the examination.

The withdrawal facility is available for only those candidates who have applied successfully for this year’s UPSC IAS exam that is to be held on June 5, 2022. However, the exam fee for all such candidates applying for withdrawal will not be refunded in any case. This facility is a blessing for those aspirants who think they have not prepared well for the exam or else and do not want to lose their attempt as there is a limited number of attempts.

Steps to withdraw UPSC IAS application form 2022

  • Visit the official website of UPSC - upsconline.nic.in
  • On the homepage, search for the link “Online request for withdrawal of IAS application”.
  • Click on the link and read the application withdrawal instructions carefully.
  • After that, fill in the details asked on the screen such as mobile number/email id, name, etc.
  • Then an OTP will be sent to the email id of the candidate which you have to enter to process the withdrawal application.
  • Aspirants should take the printout of the acknowledgement for future reference.

However, if for any reason, the applicant fails to withdraw his/her application form of UPSC IAS 2022, they can contact UPSC at upscsoap@nic.in.
