IIT Placements 2021: US Companies to Hire Mostly from IIT Bombay, Maximum Package Set at 1.5 Crore

IIT Bombay: The US-based IT firms including Glean and Cohesity are planning to hire for most of their positions from IIT Bombay this year. These companies have decided to offer some of the highest packages for the students on the first day of placements. The Cohesity will be offering INR 1.46 Crore (1,95,000 USD) which will be the highest package offered at IIT Bombay placements. Followed by it, Glean will become the second higher package offering company which has set its package at 1.12 Crore (1,50,000 USD). The packages offered will include incentives and other stock options.

Other companies that are hiring for US job roles are also planning to hire from IIT Bombay. Apart from these, the Data Management company, Rubrik is offering 7 LPA (1,00,000 USD) and HiLabs has still not confirmed its package. As per the sources, Microsoft which usually hires students for International positions has decided to recruit only for domestic positions this year.

Most of the students who are hired by these companies are from Computer Science and Electrical branches, with most students being selected from CSE. Other international offers for the students will be from companies in Singapore and Japan. Some of the companies in Japan which offer the highest packages include Sony, Rakuten, and Hyundai. Though the placement session started at a slow pace for IIT Bombay students past year due to lockdown, the students are expecting good placements this year.
