Vancouver Film School Signs MoU with Telangana Govt. to Set Up Campus in Hyderabad
- There is a massive demand for VFS programs in India and to facilitate quality education the institute collaborated with Telangana Government.

The VFS (Vancouver Film School) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government of Telangana to create its satellite campus in Hyderabad. VFS, a premier film school, located in British Columbia will offer courses in VFX, Animation, Film and Game Development. These courses will provide skills to students, and the curriculum of these courses will be at par with international standards. VFS will launch its new campus in Hyderabad next year. Already, VFS has identified significant industry players and partners who will play a vital role in assisting in connection with Telangana industry.
Principal Secretary of Information Technology (Telangana), Director of VFS International Strategy, and Business Development signed the MoU in the presence of IT Minister of Telangana, Mr. K. Taraka Rama Rao. Mr. Nadir Patel, Canada’s High Commissioner was also present at the event.
The MoU clearly indicates that the state government of Telangana collaborated with VFS under its initiative to set up an international school of excellence for animation, gaming and VFX. VFS will also tie up with various global universities across the globe for delivering quality education.

According to the official information disclosed by Mr. K.T Rama Rao, the government had already launched the policy for growth and development of AVCG (Animation, VFX, Comics & Gaming) sector. VFS and Government of Telangana have joined efforts through this collaboration to synergise on skilling the youths from Telangana on latest technologies in AVCG sector.
The response for VFS programmes in India is exceptional. Many students from India have been unable to take up courses offered by VFS in Vancouver. Therefore, the premier film school has decided to launch its programmes in Hyderabad.
