Venkaiah Naidu Emphasises Upon an Integrated, Value-Based Education System
The Vice-President, Venkaiah Naidu recently attended a centenary celebration of Patna High School, where he mentioned about imbibing various cultural and traditional values in the education system so that the students turn out to be responsible citizens of India
While addressing the celebration ceremony of Patna High School for existing for 100 years, the Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu made various statements regarding the importance of moving the education system of India to a path where India becomes a hub of Knowledge and directly contributes to the overall development of the country.
During the event, the Vice-President had emphasised upon the need for inculcating different practices on the vibrant Indian traditions, culture, heritage as well as the history in the academic curriculum of the educational institutions in India. He further claimed that the New Education Policy that has been put into motion this year has been designed to provide an education system that keeps the development notion of India, first. This will ensure that all the efforts that are being put into the education system of India, lead to the creation of a vibrant and unbiased knowledge centre where education is accessible to all.
Venkaiah Naidu also urged the students to keep themselves updated on the latest trends in education such as the introduction of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, among others, so as to keep themselves ahead in attaining knowledge and skills required in the industry.

Venkaiah Naidu also pressed on the issue of considering education as a means of procuring a job alone. He stated that education is not just a means to earn a living but is also a method to make the students responsible citizens of the country, where they are able to empathise with feelings and emotions of others in the country.

Adding to this, Naidu stated that the students, as well as the other citizens of the country, need to imbibe in them certain characteristics such as hard work, discipline, honesty, righteousness as well as keeping themselves updated with the social happenings around them. This will directly lead to their success in their respective fields as well as help them grow in their respective careers.
