Veterinary Courses Admission through NEET UG 2018
- Admission to veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BV.Sc & AH) degree programmes to be done through NEET UG 2018.
- 15% of the all-India seats under such courses offered by recognised institutes will be filled through merit based on NEET score.
The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) issued a public notice clarifying that the admission to Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BV.Sc & AH) degree programmes would be done on the basis of NEET UG 2018 that will be conducted on May 6.
As per the notice issued by the council admission to the BV.Sc & AH courses offered by recognized medical colleges will consider NEET 2018 score for admission to the academic session 2018-19.
Candidates who seek admission in BV.Sc & AH courses under the 15 percent all-India quota will have to appear for the NEET UG 2018 exam, the notice released by VCI added. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of NEET UG 2018 results to allocate these seats under the Animal Husbandry and VeterinaryScience courses.

NEET is a mandatory exam for admission to all the medical courses offered in India with a few institutes as exception. NEET 2018 will be conducted y CBSE according to the guidelines of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Recently, CBSE also announced that it has no role in deciding the eligibility criteria for NEET UG exam. All the eligibility norms for regular students as well as NIOS candidates is decided by the MCI.

All grievances regarding the exams will be taken by the MCI and not CBSE, the board clarified. Medical aspirants must check the NEET UG 2018 eligibility criteria in order to ensure that they can appear for the exam or not.
