Vice President Graces IIM Rohtak Convocation
- Naidu advised the students of IIM Rohtak to not limit themselves to mere managing but to learn to lead the world.

M Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President advised the students of IIM- Rohtak about the importance of managerial leaders and those who can shape the world. Naidu addressed the students at the 7th convocation of Indian Institute of Management on 25 March 2018. He advised the students to not limit themselves to mere managing but to learn to lead and shape the world. Naidu also inaugurated the new campus of IIM Rohtak which is located on the outskirts of the city.

While addressing the gathering, he stated that prestigious institutes like IIM Rohtak not only produce managers but leaders who have the potential and wisdom to bring reform to businesses, institutions, and organizations. As per him, these students have the power and knowledge to bring various reforms in the government as the world of learning is changing rapidly and it is very important to be ever alert and agile.
During his speech at the convocation, he guided students that their actions in both public and private life must be guided by the moral and ethical force. He further quoted Mahatma Gandhi about how there can be no knowledge without character and no science can exist without humanity. Naidu also congratulated the Institute for taking up a gender-diversity initiative which is the need of the hour. IIM Rohtak has introduced various initiatives such as promoting girl child education, equality, and empathy among the people of different regions and others.

He concluded his speech by asking the audience to take pride in their country and to not to forget one’s origin, motherland, and mother tongue. As the development of the country lies on the basis of these. At last, he talked about the importance of native languages and how we should preserve them and pass it on to the next generation
