VIT University Bags QS 4 Star Rating
VIT University has made India proud as it is the only varsity in the country which has been conferred a 4 Star Rating in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Audit.
VIT University bagged QS 4 Star Rating for the first time for its overall performance in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Audit. On the other hand, the varsity received 5 Star Rating in the following areas: -
- Innovation
- Teaching
- Employability
- Facilities
- Inclusiveness
VIT University made the nation proud as it is the only varsity in the country which has been conferred an award of this sort.

One of the officials of VIT University expressed that the rating received by the varsity will boost the ratings of the education system in India on par with global varsities. The varsity has been consistently working to achieve overall the 5 Star Rating by increasing the intake of international students. The varsity is also trying to encourage the prominence of faculty in various fields as well as improving facilities for research to boost the rating. The varsity is expecting to be among Top 200 universities across the world in the next five years.

Dr. G. Vishwanathan, Chancellor of VIT University, expressed his happiness for the achievement that varsity had received. He explained that VIT College of Engineering was established in the year 1984 and became an autonomous university in the year 2004. Currently, around 32,000 students are pursuing various courses in the university out of which 1/3rd are female students.
He further added that the varsity is going to expand its sphere by establishing campuses at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.
In the recently announced NIRF Ranking 2016, VITUniversity bagged the first position among the top private engineering colleges in India.
