WBJEE 2017 Applications to Begin from January 5, 2017
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced the entrance exam dates for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced the entrance exam dates for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) for admission to engineering colleges in West Bengal. The WBJEE 2017 scores will also be valid for admission to Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture colleges in West Bengal.
The WBJEE will be conducted on April 23, 2017 in both online & offline mode. Students who sign up for the exam will be allocated exam centres basis their preferences that they had mentioned while filling up the application form. However, the ultimate decision of allocating exam centres lies in the hands of the WBJEEB.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission basis WBJEE 2017:
- Class 12 pass with minimum 65% marks in PCM for General category and 55% for PwD/ SC/ST/OBC category with minimum 30% in English subject from any recognized board by Central & State Government
- Maths, Physics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects along with any of these subjects Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Computer Applications as optional in Class 12 level
- Students should have passed in all 3 papers individually in both theory and practical papers
- Students taking WBJEE 2017 should be at least 17 years of age
Exam Pattern for Admission basis WBJEE 2017:
- Two Papers – Paper I & Paper II conducted on the same day
- Paper I – Maths (from 11 am to 1 pm) & Paper II – Combined paper of Physics & Chemistry (2 pm to 4 pm)
- Maths & Physics section will carry 100 marks, while Biology exam will carry 150 marks

Application Process for Admission basis WBJEE 2017:
- The application form for WBJEE exam 2017 will be done online only from the official website of WBJEE
- The form will consist of 3 sections – Personal Details, Fee Payment & Confirmation Page
- Students will have to pay Rs.500/- through debit card/credit card/net banking
- Students can also pay through cash by making a Challan from Allahabad Bank
