“We are Facing Mental Stress” – NEET PG 2022 Aspirants Continue to Demand for Postponement
NEET PG 2022 aspirants are facing mental stress and anxiety due to the lack of a decision on the postponement of NEET PG 2022. The issue has reached Supreme Court which will take up a hearing soon.
NEET PG 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on May 21. As the exam date is approaching, the aspirants are aggressively demanding to postpone the exam at least by 8-10 weeks. “We are facing mental stress” – many aspirants have been posting this on Twitter and seeking the government’s decision on exam postponement. With the matter reaching Supreme Court, the campaign to postpone the exam has increased further. While the SC is expected to take up the hearing on a petition filed to postpone NEET PG 2022 soon, it is important for the government to consider the mental health of students.

Reasons for Mental Stress among NEET PG 2022 Aspirants
Here are the major reasons why the NEET PG 2022 exam aspirants have been facing stress and anxiety –
- The delay in NEET PG 2021 counselling is the first reason for the confusion and at the same time NEET PG 2022 schedule has been announced
- Aspirants who are not able to get a seat in 2021 counselling usually go for the next attempt of NEET PG 2022. As the 2021 counselling process in many states is still underway, a certain section of students lack clarity and confused
- Due to the ongoing counselling process, mid-rankers or those who are waiting for seat allotment are still in dilemma whether to continue their preparation for NEET PG 2022. This reason is causing mental stress among students and a majority of students want exam to be postponed by at least 2 months
- 5,000 students have been barred from appearing in NEET PG 2022 due to the extension of the internship by 1-2 months. These students were dedicated towards Covid-19 duty at the time of the pandemic because of which the completion of the internship has been delayed
