West Bengal HS Syllabus likely to be Revised: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will likely revise the HS syllabus in the next session. So that the candidates will get an added advantage in Bengal fare as well as in the competitive exams. For the same, West Bengal is seeking the help of the CBSE teachers. The West Bengal Board has already arranged a meeting in this regard. After that, the Board decided to implement the revision in the syllabus for the 2024-25 academic session. Approximately, the syllabus of 47 subjects will be updated.
As per the meeting agenda, four committee members will be appointed to revise the syllabus of 47 subjects. Note, that these four committee members will comprise one university representative, two school representatives, and one college representative. Whereas for 12 or 13 subjects, the committee will form a fifth representative, who will be an expert from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBFC). Nonetheless, the authority will not bring any updation in the syllabus of vocational subjects. The committee will submit the recommendations by the next year, tentatively by January 2024. Before that, the Board will check the CBSE syllabus. Based on that, the revision in 47 subjects will be brought.
As per the source, the West Bengal HS syllabus will be changed approximately after a decade. The last change in the WB HS syllabus was done in 2012-13.
