The Indira Gandhi National Open University has released the application form on 24th March 2022 for B.Ed admissions. Candidates interested in pursuing B.Ed from IGNOU can fill out the application on the official website, www.ignou.ac.in, till 17th April 2022. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the course. So take a look at the points given below. 

IGNOU 2022 B.Ed Eligibility Criteria

All aspirants must check whether they fulfil the IGNOU 2022 B.Ed eligibility criteria. If the candidates are found to be ineligible at any time of the admission process, their admission will be cancelled. 

  • Candidates holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Arts, or Commerce with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. 
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate can apply for the course. 
  • SC/ ST and OBC candidates will get a relaxation of 5%.
  • Aspirants trained as in-service teachers in elementary education can also apply for B.Ed admission. 
  • Candidates having NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) recognized teacher education program through regular (face-to-face) mode are also eligible to apply for the course.

Who is Not Eligible for IGNOU 2022 B.Ed Admission?

The following points will tell you who are not eligible to apply for the IGNOU 2022 B.Ed admission. 

  • Candidates whose final year result has not been declared are not eligible to apply i.e. only candidates with their qualifying result can apply.
  • Candidates with Diploma in Education or Diploma in Elementry Education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible to apply. 

Candidates eligible to apply for the course can visit the official website and fill out the form after registering themselves in the admission portal. The application fee is Rs. 1,000. An entrance exam will be held in an online mode, and candidates who qualify for the exam with good scores can get admission into the course.
