Who is Eligible for MHT CET CAP Round 2 Counselling 2022?

MHT CET Counselling 2022: The State CET Cell released MHT CET seat allotment 2022 on October 18. The facility to confirm or upgrade the seat allotment is available through the candidate login at fe2022.mahacet.org from October 19 to 21. Many students find themselves stuck in the dilemma of whether to accept the seat and confirm the admission or to go for betterment. So, the foremost question is, who is eligible to go for betterment in CAP Round 2?

All candidates who have been allotted other than Preference 1 are eligible for MHT CET CAP round 2 counselling. Further important distinction is elaborated below.

Preference 1 allotted candidates:

• Those candidates who have been allotted their first preference will have their seats Auto-Freezed. Thus, it is mandatory for such candidates to accept their seats through online reporting, payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee (INR 1,000/-), reporting at Admission Reporting Centre (ARC), and reporting at the allotted institute before the given deadline
• If such candidates fail to do so, their allocated seat will be cancelled and furthermore, these candidates will not be allowed to participate in CAP Round 2
• In case, Preference 1 allotted candidates do not want admission at the allotted institute, they may not pay the seat acceptance fee and have their allocation cancelled. But these candidates will not be allowed for further CAP rounds

Other than Preference 1 allotted candidates:

• Candidates who have been allotted Preference 2 or lower can go for betterment in MHT CET counselling round 2. However, doing so is not mandatory
• If the candidate is satisfied with their allocation (even though it is not Preference 1), they may Freeze their seats and follow through with the steps applicable to Preference 1 allotted candidates (online reporting, payment of seat acceptance fee, reporting at ARC and allotted institute)
• Once the seat is Freezed, it cannot be undone. Such candidates too will not be eligible for participation in further CAP rounds
• If the candidate is not satisfied with their current allocation and wishes to go for betterment, they may Float their seat
• Float candidates too must pay the seat acceptance fee to retain their claim to the current allocation. It is important to be noted that going for MHT CET CAP round 2 does not mean that the current allocation will be lost. The current allocation will be retained until a better seat or higher choice option is allotted
• However, if the seat acceptance fee is not paid, the current allocation will be cancelled and the candidate will be disqualified from the counselling round. But unlike Freeze candidates, such candidates can participate in CAP round 2 again by filling out a fresh option form

Candidates who have not been allotted a seat:

• All those candidates who were not allotted a seat can modify/reconfirm their option form and participate in CAP round 2
