Predict your Rank

Good Percentile in JEE Mains 2024 for NIT Admission HS Quota: The 93 percentile is not very good for the Open category students. It corresponds to an expected rank of AIR 84,000. Last year, no admission for unreserved candidates through the Open State quota was done at the 93 percentile. The same is also likely this year. As per the closing ranks of the previous year, admissions through the Home State quota are also only likely at NIT Agartala, NIT Goa, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Raipur, and NIT Srinagar. The applicable branches and their expected closing ranks are also detailed on this page.

93 Percentile in JEE Main 2024: Expected NITs with Courses under HS Quota

The following 7 branches at 5 NITs are likely to be available from 92 to 93 percentile are given in the table below. Do note that these values apply only to unreserved, gender-neutral admission category through the HS quota.

Expected NIT available at 93+ Percentile via HS QuotaExpected courses available at 93+ Percentile via HS quotaExpected closing rank via HS Quota
NIT AgartalaElectronics and Communication Engineering (4 Years, B.Tech)71,000
NIT GoaCivil Engineering (4 Years, B.Tech)79,000
NIT HamirpurCivil Engineering (4 Years, B.Tech)77,000
NIT RaipurMining Engineering (4 Years, B.Tech)71,000
Bio Technology (4 Years, B.Tech)77,000
Bio-Medical Engineering (4 Years, B.Tech)83,000
NIT SrinagarMechanical Engineering (4 Years, B.Tech)79,000

Note: The ranks mentioned above are All-India Ranks (AIR), not category-wise ranks. For all categories except the Open (Unreserved) Category, admissions are carried out through category-wise ranks, not AIR.

For OBC and EWS candidates, popular branches at mid-ranked NITs are likely while SC and ST candidates have better chances at the top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, VNIT Nagpur, and so on. Admissions through OS quota for SC/ST candidates are also expected to be open while the same may be available at low-ranked NITs for OBC/EWS candidates.

While referring to these values, it should be noted that it is tentative and provided so that the students may get an idea of their admission chances. The cutoffs, though usually fall in the same range, are variable and unique for each round. The cutoffs also decrease with each counselling round, if seats remain vacant.
