JEE Main May 2021 Postponed, New Exam Date to be Released Soon
JEE Main May 2021 that is scheduled to be conducted from May 24 to 28 has been postponed due to the highest surge in the number of second-wave Covid-19 cases. New dates will be confirmed soon. Check the latest updates here.
With the postponement of JEE Main April 2021 and uncertainty on 12th board exams 2021 (CBSE, ISC and state boards), JEE Main May 2021 examhas also been postponed. The entrance exam is actually scheduled to be conducted from May 24 to 28. The number of Covid-19 cases in India has been increasing severely, and it is expected to reach 8 lakh+ by May last week. In such circumstances, it is unsafe to conduct the exam, and NTA took a decision on the postponement of the exam. The application form for May 2021 has been delayed. Meanwhile, the candidates are advised to continue their preparation for the entrance exam.
There will no scope for the cancellation of JEE Main April or May 2021, and NTA will conduct the exam as and when the situation becomes better in the country. JEE Advanced 2021 will also be postponed as of now, NTA is expected to wrap up Phase 3 & 4 of JEE Main 2021 by August.
The candidates are advised to not believe rumours regarding the entrance exam and wait for the official confirmation from NTA.
