Will NEET UG 2024 New Syllabus impact difficulty level?

Based on expert analysis, find out here whether the updated syllabus of NEET UG 2024 impacts the difficulty level -
  • Firstly, the updated syllabus of NEET UG 2024 is majorly based on NCERT's new syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. While Physics had more topics that were added to the NEET syllabus and deleted from the NCERT syllabus, Biology and Chemistry have limited newly added topics. These changes may not impact the difficulty level completely but partially
  • NMC has not deleted any chapter from the NEET UG syllabus 2024. Instead, only certain topics have been deleted and some deleted topics from the NCERT syllabus have been added. The possibility of asking questions from newly added topics might be 1 or 2. Therefore, candidates must not skip these newly added topics while preparing for NEET to avoid difficulty during the exam
  • Over the years, the difficulty level of the NEET UG exam has been moderate or moderate to tough. Therefore, the candidates can expect a similar difficulty level in 2024 as well
  • Overall, if you are thorough with the new NCERT syllabus and updated NEET UG 2024 syllabus, you will be able to get a better score in NEET 2024
  • The new NEET UG syllabus 2024 is expected to have a minor impact on the difficult level. The candidates can expect a ‘Moderate to Tough’ paper

Will NEET UG 2024 New Syllabus Impact Cutoffs?

Based on expert analysis, find out here whether the updated syllabus of NEET UG 2024 impact the cutoffs –
  • Firstly, the candidates must note that the cutoffs of NEET are purely based on the total number of candidates appeared
  • If the NEET question paper 2024 is going to be tougher, the number of candidates clearing NEET might be less and this will lead to lower cutoffs
  • If the NEET question paper 2024 is going to be easier than the previous years, the number of candidates clearing NEET might be higher and this will lead to higher cutoffs
  • The difficulty level of the NEET question paper plays an important role in deciding the cutoffs
  • As the NEET question paper 2024 is expected to be ‘Moderate to Tough’ in terms of difficulty level, the cutoffs are expected to be slightly higher than the NEET cutoff 2023 and there will not be much difference
