Young Advocates in Telangana to be Trained by Nalsar for Litigation Process

As a part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 3rd May, between Telangana Advocates Welfare Trust, Department of Law of the Government of Telangana and Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad, the Law University is set to conduct a training program for young advocacy aspirants on the aspects of Litigation. The programme is set to start from 11th May onwards.

The Memorandum of Understanding says that it aims to provide training to young advocates in the state who have 2 to 5 years of experience in trial courts of Telangana. The first batch will reportedly consist of 100 young advocates from all Telangana Bar councils.

The press release said that the aim of the course is not only to make the advocates able to file litigations alone but also make them able to render advisory in different sectors such as civil laws, business laws, public and criminal laws and constitution.

The course will conduct training to make them understand thoroughly the norms of filing litigation in front of the court of law on different matters. It will also teach the advocacy skills and research skills required to handle the litigation process. There will be training programmes to solve the pre-litigation issues also. Drafting legal documents, court pleadings, contracts and agreements will also be taught thoroughly in the specialised training programme.

The training programme to be conducted by Nalsar will teach the functioning of all courts including from lowest to high courts to the students. The course will put special emphasis on developing the English speaking abilities among the advocates as well as convey do’s and don’ts of the profession to them.
