Documents Required for WB Student Credit Card

The documents required for WB Student Credit Card include Aadhaar Card or any valid ID proof like Voter ID, PAN Card for loans above INR 4 lakh, Class 10 & 12 Mark Sheets or last qualifying exam mark sheet, Admission Letter from a recognized institution, course fee structure issued by the institution, recent Passport Size Photograph etc. among others. Launched by the Government of West Bengal, the West Bengal Student Credit Card (WBSCC) is an initiative for permanent residents of West Bengal to provide collateral-free education loans up to INR 10 lakh at low interest rates for students pursuing higher education in a recognized institution in India and abroad. The WB Student Credit Card documents are required to determine your eligibility for B.A., M.A., B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Com., M.Com., B.E., B.Tech course , M.E., M.Tech. (Engineering & Technology), BBA, MBA, MBBS, etc., are eligible courses in India and abroad. Appropriate documentation is mandatory for a seamless application process and prompt loan approval.

It is compulsory for you to meet certain eligibility criteria and submit the mandatory documents to ensure that the loan is being disbursed to genuine students and can be repaid responsibly at a 4% per annum interest rate. You are required to keep the scanned images of the following West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme (WBSCC) documents ready:

Identity Proof (Also for student loan WB KYC)

  • Any valid ID Proof like Aadhaar Card or Voter ID in .pdf format, between 400 KB and 50 KB
  • ID Proof of Co-Borrower (Parent/ Guardian) that include Aadhaar/ PAN/ Voter ID
  • First 2 pages and last page of Passport, and visa page in .pdf format and size between 50 KB to 400 KB
  • A Proof of your Date of Birth, e.g. Birth Certificate / Class 10th Board Admit card or pass certificate in .pdf format and size between 50 KB to 400 KB

Educational Documents Required for WB Student Credit Card

  • Marksheets of Class 10 & Class 12 or last qualifying exam
  • Rank Card of Entrance Exams like JEE, NEET exam , WBJEE, etc. (if applicable)

Proof of Admission

Admission letter from the recognized college/ university/ institution where the applicant has secured admission in .pdf format and size between 50 KB to 400 KB

Course and Fee Details of Institute

  • Approved course structure containing the details of the duration and curriculum of the course
  • Official fee structure of the course issued by the institution
  • Prospectus/ Certificate (from the competent authority of the institution) containing information on charges like Admission Fee, Examination Fee, Hostel Charges etc. in .pdf format between 400 KB and 50 KB

Financial Documents

  • Your PAN card/ PAN undertaking document for availing loans above INR 4 lakh in .pdf format and size between 50 KB to 400 KB
  • Guardian/ co-borrower’s PAN card/ PAN undertaking document in .pdf format and size between 50 KB to 400 KB
  • Income Proof (Salary Slip, IT Return, or Income Certificate) of the Co-Borrower (Income Tax Returns of the last two years for the co-applicant)
  • Family Income Certificate to be issued by BDO, SDO, or competent authority or Form 16 of the Co-borrower
  • Bank statements of the co-borrower for the last six months

Residence Proof

  • Permanent Address Proof e.g. AADHAR card/ voter ID card/ Driving License in .pdf format and size between 50 KB to 400 KB
  • Present Address Proof e.g. AADHAR card/ voter ID card/ Driving License in .pdf format and size between 50 KB to 400 KB
  • Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, Electricity Bills or the first page of the bank passbook

Bank Account Details

  • Copy of the applicant's bank passbook
  • Copy of the Co-Borrower’s Bank Passbook

Or

a canceled cheque displaying the account number and IFSC code

Photographs

  • Recent Coloured Passport-size photograph that should be in .jpg/ .jpeg format and in the size between 20 KB to 50 KB
  • Colour photograph of the guardian / co-borrower in .jpg/ .jpeg format and size between 20 KB to 50 KB

Signature

  • Your Signature in .jpg/ .jpeg format and size between 10 KB to 50 KB

The required documents for WB student loan help in ensuring the authenticity and eligibility of the students and disbursing loans properly to eligible candidates.

Dear student,

Students take the SLCC exam to pass and receive a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) after completing Class 10th. The SLCC exam is conducted state-wise, by the Dept. of Education of the state. 

For eg., the Karnataka SSLC exam is conducted by Karnataka School Examinations and Assessments Board (KSEEB) and the 2025 SSLC exam will be held from March 21 to April 4, 2025 in pen and paper mode. 

Similarly, the Kerala Board of Public Examinations (KBPE) conducts the SSLC exam in Kerala. Kerala SLCC Exams are scheduled to happen in March 2025
