ITI In Plant Logistics Assistant Trade Responsibilities

An In-plant Logistics Assistant coordinates the receipt and storage of goods in the stockyard. They manage the movement of materials within the facility, from procurement to stock, and from stock to the production line. They also handle the movement of finished goods within the plant. The assistant ensures that materials are delivered on time to the production line. They maintain inventory records, track receipts and dispatches from the stockyard, and provide daily and weekly inventory reports to their supervisors.

Additionally, they create daily and weekly schedules for incoming and outgoing activities. The assistant is responsible for the safety and security of materials in the stockyard. They develop new methods to reduce logistics costs and improve process flow. This role covers the handling of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies within the manufacturing plant. It includes storing raw materials, moving them to the production line, storing finished goods, and taking finished products to the factory gate.
