What is the PSTET Exam 2025?

PSTET, Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test, is a state-level exam administered by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) to determine candidates' eligibility for positions as Primary (Classes 1–5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) level teachers in the government schools of Punjab. The Punjab TET 2025 exam will be held in two shifts and will consist of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. PSTET Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach in grades 1 through 5, whereas PSTET Paper 2 is for those who want to teach in grades 6 through 8. Those who want to teach in grades 1 through 8 must take both exams.

PSTET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates should read the Punjab TET 2025 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. The eligibility criteria for the different papers are shown below.

PSTET Educational Qualifications 2025

Primary Teachers (Class I to V)

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% or appearing in the final year of a two-year Elementary Education Diploma.

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 45 percent or in the last year of a two-year Elementary Education Diploma program.

• Senior Secondary School (or equivalent) with a minimum of 45 percent or the last year of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 45 percent or the last year of a two-year Education Diploma (Special Education).

• Graduated from high school or are in the last year of a two-year Elementary Education diploma program.

Upper Primary Teachers (Class VI to XII)

• Graduation or completion of a two-year Elementary Education Diploma program.

• Passed or enrolled in a one-year Bachelor of Education program with a minimum of 50% marks (B.Ed).

• Graduation with at least 45 percent marks or passing or enrolling in a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program in line with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% or the last year of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% passing or appearing in the last year of a four-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed program.

• Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passing or enrolling in a one-year B.Ed. program (Special Education).

• Step 1 : Go to the official website.

• Step 2 : On the webpage, click "New Registration and Applicant Login."

• Step 5 : After selecting 'Register Me,' you will be redirected to a new page containing the login information.

• Step 6 : On the new page that appears, enter your login details.

• Step 8 : After inputting all of the required information, upload your signature and photo.

• Step 9 : Complete the registration payment.

PSTET Result 2025

The Punjab TET 2025 exam results have been released on February 19, 2025. You can verify your results on the PSTET exam's official website. To pass the exam, you must achieve a minimum score of 60% on the PSTET. Those who fall into the SC/ST/OBC categories are given a 5% reduction in the exam fee. Recently, the Punjab High Court, by its historical verdict, announced that an additional 1 mark will be awarded to the candidates who answer the questions of the written test in the Punjabi language.
