Campus at a Glimpse

Standing as a lone hub, RRBMU is the only university in Rajasthan catering to the needs of the students of the Alwar district. The university is located in the Matsya-Mewat region of Rajasthan, within the Aravali Hills. Established as Matsya University, it imparts education and conducts research on the various aspects of the Matsya Mewat region. RRBMU started its journey in 2013. Later, the name of the university was changed to Raj Rishi Bhartrihari Matsya University in 2014. There are over 180 colleges affiliated with RRBMU, which include government, private, and law colleges.

RRBMU is a state-level university and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). RRBMU courses are offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in the Science, Commerce, Arts, Business Administration, Law, and Education streams. Some of the popular courses offered by RRBMU include BSc, BCom, BBA, BEd, MSc, MCom, LLB, etc. RRBMU admission to these courses is done through merit in the qualifying exam. The university releases its merit list every year, through which candidates are shortlisted for RRBMU admission.

Even though this university impresses us as the only education hub in its region, there is a big drawback that comes along. RRBMU has just a temporary campus as of now, located at the girls' hostel building of BSR Govt Arts College, Alwar. The permanent campus of the university will be at Village Haldeena Tehsil Malakhera after the completion of the construction work on the building. This means there is no surety of the permanent infrastructure of RRBMU at present!

RRBMU Ranking

The reason RRBMU does not participate in NIRF may be because it's a new university. Whatever the reason is, we insist that the university must consider participating in the NIRF ranking in the coming years, as it is essential to demonstrate its commitment to quality and improvement. It is also an important component for students to make an informed decision, as their future relies on the college they opt for.

However, the average package offered is very low and we would expect a better outcome in terms of this.
