Alliance University Hosts the Annual Industry Leaders’ Alliance 2023

The Industry Leaders' Alliance (ILA) event 2023, hosted by the Office of Career Advancement & Networking of Alliance University at the Taj, MG Road, Bengaluru, received overwhelming support. An esteemed community of leaders from various business functions and industries came together for ILA for an evening full of lively conversations, insightful exchanges, and unforgettable experiences. It serves as a platform for industry veterans to be recognised and acknowledged for their contributions to the Alliance community as mentors, advisors, strategic partners, and thought leaders.

The event began with a welcome speech from the vice chancellor, Dr. Anubha Singh, who took the opportunity to personally welcome each panel member as well as senior corporate representatives and faculty. This was followed by a panel discussion about digital transformation. The panel discussion's topic was "Driving Digital Transformation: Cutting-Edge Technologies and Their Roles."

The panel included thought leaders such as Mr. Vikas Arora, Managing Director at State Street; Mr. S. Rajesh, CEO of Reliance Jio in Karnataka; Mr. Venkatanarayan V, Vice President and Digital Transformation Leader, GMO at Dr. Reddy's; and Dr. Sunil Kumar C, Engineering Director, Innovation, Data Science, and Automation at Maersk.  Mr. Ramakant, an Alliance alumnus and Client Partner with Capgemini, moderated the panel discussion. The panellists shared excerpts from digital transformation journeys they witnessed and implemented in their professional careers and at the organisations they represented. A unique two-year full-time MBA programme in digital transformation was also introduced at the event, which was intended to be a revelation for the delegates. The MBA in Digital Transformation is curated by an industry consortium led by AMS India, which includes ABB Robotics, Adroitec, Siemens, and Systema.  During the launch, Mr. Abhay G. Chebbi, Pro-Chancellor of Alliance University, emphasised the importance of digital transformation in business and the need for highly qualified personnel to lead such efforts.  He introduced the programme and the Alliance University partners involved in its development.

Both Mr. Shashidhar NC, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Advance Mechanical Services Pvt. Ltd. (AMS India), and Dr. U Chandrashekar, Chief Executive Officer, GMSIR Scientific Innovation & Research, discussed how the concept of such a modern programme came to be implemented.
