DTU Latest Updates
IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 timetable on their official website (gate2025.iitr.ac.in). The exam will be held in two sessions over the weekends from February 1 to 16, 2025. The morning session will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the afternoon session will be scheduled from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
IIT Roorkee has opened the facility to add a secondary GATE 2025 test paper. Registration for GATE 2025 is closed, but candidates can still add a paper.
About DTU
The DTU full form is Delhi Technological University and it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Delhi and was established in 1941. The university is also renowned for its management courses and for this purpose, it has recently established its University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME) which is also known as the East Delhi campus of DTU.
Delhi Technological University World University Ranking 2023 falls between the range of 601-800. The university achieved an overall score of 34.0-39.2. Delhi Technological University NIRF ranking 2023 is 61 for the overall category, 40 for the university category and 29 for the engineering category. All the courses are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. DTU courses include M.Tech, B.Des, M.Des, MBA, etc. The placement offers at DTU are made in reputed firms with packages as high as Rs 1.2 crore per annum.

DTU Courses and Admission 2024
Admission in Delhi Technological University courses is offered at the UG, PG, and, PhD levels in the streams of engineering, technology, management, commerce, design, and, science. The B.Tech programme of the university is its flagship programme which is offered in many specialisations. Admission to various programmes of the university is based on the scores of entrance exams like JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, UCEED, CEED, etc. The university releases a merit list or cut off list once the results of these examinations are announced. DTU admission is offered based on entrance examination results followed by a counselling process. Students willing to get admission in DTU shall check the subject-wise admission process for the courses below.
- The DTU B.Tech admission is based on the scores of the JEE Main examination. This is followed by the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) which is conducted by the Government of NCT.
- The GATE scores are considered for the M.Tech admission in DTU which are followed by an interview round.
- The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) exam is accepted for B.Des admissions.
- CAT and MAT scores are evaluated for DTU MBA admission.
- The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) scores are considered for M.Des admissions.
- The majority of the above-mentioned exams are currently ongoing. Aspiring students must make note of the important dates for such examinations to avoid missing out the admission chances.
- The university also accepts the scores of the CUET UG and CUET PG exams for Delhi Technological University admission.
DTU Placements
The statistics of DTU placements 2023 is yet to be released. In 2022, 1499 students received job offers from more than 400 companies that participated in the placement drive. The average CTC offered was Rs 25.22 lakh per annum and the median CTC stood at Rs 15 lakh per annum. Further, the highest CTC was Rs 82.05 LPA. The DTU M.Tech highest offer made to one of the 2023 passing students was Rs 51.03 from the AFI branch. Delhi Technological University World University Ranking 2023 is among the 601-800 range. The university achieved an overall score of 34.0-39.2. According to The Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2023, DTU received 17.8 points for teaching, 17.8 points for research, 42.5 points for industry income, 80.1 points for citations, and 17.3 points for international orientation.

DTU Campus Facilities and Infrastructure
DTU is spread across 163 acres of land. The railway station and metro stations are nearby the campuses making it convenient for the students to travel to the city. Having facilities like hostels, gyms, convenience stores, and banks most of the needs of the candidates are covered on the campus itself allowing the student to focus on their academics. A healthcare center is also provided on the campus.

- Hostel Facilities
There is a total of 9 hostels for boys and 6 hostels for girls on the DTU campus. The total capacity in the hostel for boys is 1284 and that of the girls is 334.
Each hostel is provided with facilities like Solar water geysers, a TV with cable connection, a Recreational room, and a Wi-Fi connection.
Every hostel has its common room with subscriptions to the latest magazines and newspapers. Each hostel is connected to the campus LAN so that the students can get access to the digital library of the college for research and academic purpose.

Delhi Technological University has a modern Gymnasium facility with the latest equipment. The Gym has been refurbished with digital and electronic treadmills. The gymnasium is open to all the students irrespective of whether the student lives in the hostel or not.
- EDUSAT Studio
Delhi Technological University is one of the centers of the Government’s EDUSAT network. Various expert lectures regarding engineering, science, and technologies are conducted through it.
- Library
Delhi Technological University has a centralized library with a wide collection of digital books and subscriptions. The central Library has access to the National Digital Library of India.
The library has subscriptions to various research journals including ASME, IEEE, ASCE, Science Direct, and JET. Full-text access is available to all research files keeping students UpToDate with the latest innovation. The students can just ask for a hard copy of any research material at the charge of Rs 10 per 3 copies.
The library of Delhi Technological University provides a book-bank to students belonging to the economically backward class. Book banks are textbooks provided to the students on loan for the entire semester.
Also, book loans are available in the DTU library where the books requested by the candidates are not available at the library, the library loans them from different university libraries it has collaboration with. Conversely, DTU also loans books requested by another university.

DTU has an excellent sports facility both indoor and outdoor. For outdoor sports, it has the following facilities

DTU has a state of an art computer center that caters to the needsof every discipline and course offered at DTU. The computer center provides a variety of platforms and computing environments for UG PG and research students.
The Center comprisesover 200 Dell intel core i5 computing systems with more than 15 servers hosting different applications such as websites and portals, SPSS, Mathematica, MatLab, DNS, LDAP, Proxy, Email Services, Network Monitoring systems, etc. It also has 4 SUN CAD workstations.
This facility also helps to train students in various latest software and technology. This facility is open to all the students for their research or project work. All the computers are installed with all the software required predominately by CSE, ECE EE, and Maths candidates.
- Auditorium
DTU has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500. Events like felicitations, awards, etc are organized in the auditorium, DTU also organizes events like yoga, expert lecture, etc in the auditorium.
- Healthcare Facility
Delhi Technological University has a full-fledged 20-bed hospital with two medical practitioners. They are available throughout the morning and evening. The healthcare center of DTU invites specialized medical practitioners for ENT, Eyes, Dental Care, and Nutrition expertsonce a week.
- Banking and Mail
Delhi Technological University has a State Bank of India branch on its campus. The ATM is operational 24/7. Indian Post office service is also available on the campus itself.
- Guest Room
DTU provides guest rooms for the people visiting the campus. Company recruiters, HRs, or visiting faculty are allotted guest rooms during their visits. Guest rooms are also allotted to the parents of the students visiting the campus.
- Kids Day Care Center
DTU has a kids daycare center called Kidz-Den for the faculty with children. The children of both teaching and non-teaching staff are allowed in the center. There is a one-time registration fee of Rs 800.

DTU Scholarships
The scholarship programs aim to make sure that financial condition doesn’t become a burden on education. Delhi Technological University provides scholarships for first-year students on a merit basis. DTU also provides a scholarship for batch toppers.
DTU also offers scholarships for candidates belonging to the economically weaker sections. Scholarships for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC NCL are as per the government mandate. Apart from this, there are a few scholarship schemes offered by DTU as follows
- Pandit Man Mohan Nath Dhar Endowment Scholarship: - This scholarship is for the students in undergraduate courses belonging to the economically backward category
- Inder Kohli and Anand Kohli Memorial Scholarships: - This scholarship is for the students who have passed the 12th exam with first division marks
- Madan Mohan Krishna Kaul Scholarship: - This scholarship is for the students enrolled in B.Tech Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil First year course.
- Smt. Savitri Agnihotri Scholarship: - This scholarship is offered for those who have joined a 1st-degree program in any of the technological faulty
Apart from this fee waivers for candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC NCL, PWD, and EBC categories are offered as per the Government of India’s rules and regulations.
Candidates are also encouraged to for internship programs. Through its summer internship program, DTU offers candidates to work as an intern in reputed companies. These interns are paid an average stipend of Rs 36,000 per month.
As per the records for 2021, more than 60 candidates were offered internships. The highest stipend received by the candidate was Rs 80,000 per month. Companies like Airbus, Microsoft, TCS, Rakuten, Dineout, Tata Elxsi, etc. offers internship to the candidates.
Delhi Technological University also offers Teaching cum Research Fellowships and Post-Doctoral Fellowships for M.Tech and Ph.D. candidates respectively.
DTU Result 2024
The Delhi Technological University results are released on the official website of the university for each semester. The steps to check the results are mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website exam.dtu.ac.in.
Step 2: A table will open with a list of Result Links for various courses.
Step 3: Click on the preferred course and the DTU result will appear.
Apart from the semester results, the CUET results also play a significant role in the admission process of the university. The steps to check the CUET results are as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official websites cuet.samarth.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in for UG and PG courses respectively.
Step 2: Use your Application Number and Date of Birth as the log in credentials and login after verifying the captcha.
Step 3: Download the DTU CUET result and take a printout of the same for future reference.

For Arts and Humanities students, the Delhi Technological University offers a BA (Hons.) in Economics programme at the university. This course is offered at the University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME) in the East Delhi Campus. Admission to the BA (Hons.) in Economics is offered on the basis of scores in the best four subjects in the class 12 board examination. Note that, class 12 must have been completed from a recognised board of education only. Moreover, The application process for the session 2023 has been concluded and the new session has been commenced for this year.

As you have completed the physical reporting in DTU, we hope the document verification has been completed on your part. If these both steps are done, the authorities will inform you regarding the commencement of the session, which is expected to begin anytime soon. Also, you have to fill out the hostel registration form separately. The DTU hostel registration has begun and you first have to check whether or not the first-year hostel registration for your course has started. You must fill out and submit the form as soon as possible as the hostel intake is limited. You have to enter your JAC registration number or JEE roll number to complete the admission process.
