CAT DILR practice tests are essential for developing analytical thinking, logical reasoning skills, quick decision-making skills, time management skills, and numerical & problem-solving abilities. A total of 22 questions will be asked from this section to be solved within 40 minutes. The difficulty level of questions asked in the CAT DILR section usually ranges from moderate to difficult. Under Data Interpretation, approximately 10-12 questions will be asked from Tables, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, Pie Charts, Venn Diagrams, Caselets, Data Sufficiency. Around 8-12 questions will be asked under LR from topics like Binary Logic, Assumptions, Blood Relations, Puzzles, Data Arrangement, Propositions, Statements, Syllogism, etc. among others.
The best strategy to answer CAT DILR questions is to solve the easiest and least time-consuming sets first; recognize patterns, trends, and relationships in data; and break down the problems into smaller parts to make solving simpler. To answer the maximum number of questions with high accuracy, practise solving questions using mental math and approximation techniques and avoid spending too much time on one set or question.
