HP SET 2022 Selection Process & Cutoff

HP SET selection process or criteria is almost similar to UGC NET and other state-level SET exams like APSET, KSET, etc. The selection criteria for HP SET are based on the rules framed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Candidates must note that he/she/they must score the minimum cut-off mark specified by HPPSC to be eligible for the award of the HP SET certificate. Candidates must score the minimum percentage specified below to be declared ‘Pass’ in the HP SET exam. The cutoff details of HP SET 2022 are as follows -

Apart from the cutoff marks mentioned above, HPPSC will release a subject-wise cutoff list on the basis of which the candidates are selected for the award of the HP SET certificate. The PDF of the HP SET cutoff list will be updated here as and when the results are announced.

Method of Selection for HP SET 2022

Despite the candidates securing the cutoff mark specified by HPPSC in HP SET, the shortlisting of candidates for the award of the HP SET certificate is done as per the following procedure or method:

• Only the top 6% of candidates who cleared the HP SET exam with the cutoff specified shall be declared eligible for the award of the HP SET certificate.

• HPPSC will pick up the top 6% of candidates clearing cutoff from each subject, and declare him/ her eligible for the award of the certificate.

• If there is a tie between two or more candidates (securing equal marks), all those candidates shall be declared qualified.

How to Obtain HP SET Qualifying Certificate?

Candidates who have cleared HP SET exam 2022 can follow the steps mentioned below to obtain the HP SET qualifying certificate:

• The candidates need to submit the documents specified by HPPSC to obtain the HP SET certificate. The list of documents is mentioned below.

• The candidates need to submit self-attested copies of all the certificates or documents and the certificate is issued after the thorough scrutiny of documents.

• HPPSC will publish the date for the candidates to collect the HP SET certificate, and the candidates need to visit the HPPSC office to collect the same. The date for collecting the certificate will be updated on this page.

The candidates need to submit the following documents at the HPPSC office to obtain the HP SET certificate:

• Printout of HP SET Online Application Form

• Photocopy of Class 10^th Certificate

• Photocopy of Class 12^th certificate

• Photocopy of Bachelor’s Degree Mark Sheet/Certificate

• Photocopy of Master’s degree Mark sheet/Certificate
