The fees for the medical course offered by five new medical colleges in Rajasthan has brought a shock to many students. These colleges have fixed $1,00,000 as tuition fee for NRI candidates aspiring to join MBBS course . On the other hand, the state government will also reserve 15% of seats in these five medical colleges to NRI candidates.
Rajasthan Medical Education Society (RMES) has taken the decision to implement 15% quota and $1,00,000 fees for NRI candidates with a motive to consolidate the financial condition of new medical colleges.

The new medical colleges received approval from Medical Council of India (MCI) recently. These colleges are located in the following regions:
- Bhilwara
- Bharatpur
- Dungarpur
- Pali
- Churu
Each medical college among five will offer 100 seats in MBBS course. Out of 100 seats, 15% seats are filled under NRI quota while 15% seats are applicable for All India Quota (AIQ). The rest of the 70% seats will be under state quota. The state government will fill 50% seats under state quota based on merit, while 50% of seats are payment seats. RMES has fixed Rs. 77,000 as the annual fee for the admission MBBS course under state merit quota.

Candidates seeking admission under NRI quota will have to submit mandatory documents prescribed by RMES at the time of admission.
