Amity University has announced the admissions in Part Time / Full Time PhD programme for the session January 2015 for various disciplines. Interested and eligible candidates may apply for this session.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. programme, whether full time or part time shall have to possess requisite percentage of marks / grade point average in qualifying examination as indicated below:
The required minimum qualification for admission to a Ph.D. programme shall normally be a Master’s (or) M.Phil. Degree from any accredited Indian or Foreign University in the relevant field
She/he must have obtained either a minimum of 50% marks or Equivalent Grade in the M.Phil. degree or a minimum of 55% marks or Equivalent Grade in the Master’s Degree (for all disciplines except Engineering and Technology); however, overall 60% at all academic levels will be desirable
Applicants with M.Tech / M.E./M.S qualification in relevant disciplines with excellent academic record with minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks and with 60% aggregate in Xth, XIIth and B.Tech/B.E will be considered eligible for admission in PhD programmes in Engineering and Technology
Applicants with MBBS degree or equivalent in relevant discipline with excellent academic record with minimum CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 55% marks may be considered eligible for admission to PhD programmes in the relevant field
For PhD in Law, the applicant should possess Master’s degree in Law with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade or M.Phil in law
Applicants with Chartered Accountancy (CA) Qualification from ‘The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ (ICAI)/ Cost and Works Accountancy of ICWAI/ Company Secretary of ICSI with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade may be considered eligible for admission to PhD programmes in the relevant field
Foreign/ NRI applicants and applicants with a Masters’ degree from a foreign university will be required to submit an equivalence certificate of AIU (Association of Indian Universities) at the time of registration.

After filling all desired field, print out application form and send it to the Amity University with all qualification certificates, experience certificates and proposed research work document

Category of Applicants
Candidates who have cleared the NET-JRF/ LS of UGC/ CSIR / ICAR/ ICMR/GATE in last 2 years, shall be exempted from the entrance examination
They will however be required to appear for the Personal Interview
Category of Applicant: An applicant for admission to the PhD Programme shall be classified under any one of the following categories:
Sponsored Candidates: Sponsored candidates getting Govt./Semi Govt. /Private or other Scholarships/ Fellowships/stipends, who apply for admission through the sponsoring organizations
Regular Self-Financed Candidates: students, self- employed or other working / non-working candidates
Corporate Research Scholar: Candidates working with reputed organizations in India and having at least five years’ experience and possessing minimum prescribed academic qualifications
Working Faculty other than Amity: Faculty members of other Universities /schools and recognized/ approved institutions/schools in India, possessing minimum prescribed academic qualifications
Candidates working as JRF/SRF/RA in Research Projects in Reputed organizations outside Amity University
Regular Academic Staff of Amity: Regular academic staff of Department/ Constituent Units of Amity University who are allowed to register for Ph.D. on part time basis.
Non-academic Staff of Amity: Regular member of non-academic staff of the University and its Departments/ Constituent Units who satisfies eligibility qualifications and is allowed to be registered for a part-time PhD program
Amity Research Fellow (ARF): Candidates working under fellowship scheme of Amity Science, Technology & Innovation Foundation (ASTIF)
Candidates working as JRF/SRF/RA in Research Projects in Amity University and meeting the eligibility criteria; candidates who are working in reputed Labs under MoU with Amity University Uttar Pradesh
