The Air Force Common Admission Test, popularly known as AFCAT is conducted by the Indian Air Force is carried out twice a year in February and August/September. The AFCAT exam is conducted to select Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). General Awareness Analysis
This section consisted of 25 questions based on National & International topics. The topics such as Sports, Politics, History, Books, Geography etc. were covered. History had comparatively easy questions.
Numerical Ability Analysis
The Numerical Ability section had about four questions from the Profit and Loss topic. Ratio and Proportion had 2, Time & Work had 3 and Simple Interest had 2 questions. This section had a total of 18 questions with an easy to moderate difficulty level.
Verbal Ability Analysis
This section comprised topics such as Idioms, Phrases Antonyms, Synonyms, One-word substitution, Fill in the blanks, Cloze test, Error detection and Reading Comprehension.
Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test Analysis
Questions in this section were on various topics. There were 3 questions based on Analogy and 5 questions based on the Venn Diagram. A total of 5 dot-based questions appeared in the exam. Series and figure-embedded questions were also a part of this section. The Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test was reported as easy to moderate.

General Awareness Analysis
General Awareness had questions from around the globe. The topics were based on books, sports, countries, currencies, politics, geography, history etc. With a moderate difficulty level, 25 questions were asked in this section.
Numerical Ability Analysis
With easy to moderate difficulty level, the Numerical Ability section had the least number of questions. Important topics such as profit loss, Ratio and Proportion, Time & Work and Simple Interest were a part of this section.
Verbal Ability Analysis
This section majorly had questions from topics such as Antonyms, Synonyms, Error Detection, Fill-ups etc. Reading comprehension also popped up based on the PDA system. The difficulty level was moderate and a total of 25 questions appeared from Verbal Ability.
Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test Analysis
Questions were on Venn Diagram, dot-based, analogy, series. Figure-embedded questions also appeared in the exam. Students found a few questions easy while others were of moderate difficulty level.
