It seems that gone are days for students to impersonate in the examination and adopt other unfair means, as Central Government is planning to link all the competitive examinations with Aadhaar card and its 12-digit unique identification number.
The move came after Aadhaar card was made mandatory for students appearing in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) that gives entry into Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and top engineering and technology institutes of the country.

- National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted for fellowship and higher posts
- National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical colleges
An official of Central Government said that since Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the JEE Mains with the linkage of Aadhaar, now the Board examination for class X & XII may also see linkage of Aadhaar card.
Candidates will be required to submit their 12-digit UID number when they fill up the form. At the examination hall, their biometric attendance data may be matched with the one stored on the server of Aadhaar. The process just takes few minutes to verify the authenticity of the candidates. It is very easy and safe.
